Helpless

My wife is at this very moment is outside mowing the lawn. My job. I feel totally helpless. I can't do anything around the house while my neck heals for fear of literally breaking it and of course dying from it. If I wanted to commit suicide now would be an easy time for me to do so. And of course I do not.

I did find some humor in it though as I watched Karen maneuver the lawnmower around some tight spots in the yard . I noticed that she was sticking out her toung. I giggled. I didn't know that she was one of those that had to have her toung out to work the hard stuff.

We find ourselves in the middle of an election year,
and, because of the McCain-Feingold campaign finance
law, in a muddle.

While Democrats took the lead in arguing against soft
money, it is Democratic groups that are now using
what other Democrats call a loophole to raise and
spend large, unregulated contributions to defeat
President Bush. For instance, Congressman Marty
Meehan, term-limits turncoat and author of the Don't-
Criticize-Your-Rulers Act, argues these groups should
also be regulated -- er, silenced -- by the FEC.

"To do nothing," he wrote to the FEC, "would be to
bless a loophole that will have grave consequences."
Huh? Freedom of speech used to be a part of the
Constitution. Now it's a loophole.

But Democratic House leader Nancy Pelosi and 121
other Democrats signed a letter to the FEC saying
that the "proposed rules severely undermine" the
balance between regulation and free political
expression, which they point out also has
"potentially severe consequences."

The problem -- in the minds of these Democratic
congressmen and, more importantly, in our legal
system -- is this idea that our First Amendment
rights are to be balanced against the compelling
state interest in regulating elections.

Nowhere in the Constitution does it allow, or even
suggest, that our rights can be "balanced" against
the desires of career politicians to take away those
rights.

The First Amendment is explicit that Congress shall
not regulate speech. How do we balance that against
the politicians' desire to regulate what's said about
them? In a better world, we don't.

My comment on the matter is that the U.S. has ceased to function as a Democracy in 1963 and has functioned as a Demoncracy ever since. Therefore no Jesus no freedom externally. Job

One of the frustrating things about neck surgery is that it is so sensetive that I am not allowed to work for 12 weeks.

That is going to hurt our finances.

Update neeeeeeeck surgery again

OK! What now?

!@#$%%$# I got pneumonia. Probably from lying around so much and not being active enough to keep them clear. Luckily I noticed something was wrong and mentioned it to my doc. yesterday and he sent me to get an ex-ray.

I got an appointment today to probably get a anti-biotic regemin and mabey a bronchio-therapy schedual although I hope not. It aint bad yet don't mean that it can't get bad. I have my own home remedies which I have relied upon for a biblical generation to keep me healthy so I'll also hit that hard.
Don't ask for my home bronchial remedies as I have no intention of revealing them. (YOU might think them weird or dangerous worse they might be dangerous). I'll let you know if I'm on my death bed with a hallelujah I'm going home blog.

Neck Surgery

I thought I would give a little update on my neck.

I wish I could make fun of it but it is a little harder to laugh through the pain medication. I have 11 more weeks of incredible boredom. In the healing process of which some of it is physical therapy. bleah. Compared to football and swimming workouts that will be a bore too.

So anyway here is what they do. The cut an incision in the front of your neck (on my right side) all the way to the spinal column, remove all the disc and them go down to your hip in my case my left one cut a hunk out of it and fill the gap between the vertebrate which will then act as a bridge allowing bone to grow hence the fusion part. Since we have 7 vertebrate in our necks I will loose approximately 1/7 the range of motion in my neck.

Pain:

My neck hardly hurt either in the front or at the spinal column. I have been acutely aware to be extremely careful with my neck since especially for the first 4 weeks or so my head will technically not be (except for 4 screws and a titanium plate) attached.

My hip hurt like it was broke or something which is true. But I have broken bones before and I knew what to expect. I guess I surprised the therapist when I got up and walked around without the cane. Gimped would be more like it. Been gimping ever since.

What caught me by surprise was when my brain figured out that their were parts of my body it had forgotten about,my upper shoulder, laterals, triceps, and muscles about half the way down my back And decided to cramp them up all at once. Now that hurt. I couldn,t breathe but in grunts. They cramped so hard that some of them have pulled loose I am pretty sure of that.
I found the solution in two shots of pain pills and two of muscle relaxers and ice packs on my back for two days. I did nothing but sleep yesterday.

Well just thought I would put a little in here so you'all wouldn't think I had fallen of the earth or something.

Redemption

What is it that I am redemed for.
Jesus came here for the purpose of redemption. To redeme me unto the father whom created me for the purpose of love. We as men have been seperated from our having sight of God which is not to say that God lost sight of us but that we lost sight of him. And like little children seperated from our mothers or parents our souls cry out to that which we lost. And we as men yearn to return to that place from which we come. Love. So it is as men that we strive with all our might to find our way back to that place of paradise. A place that can not be earned or stolen. Yet the route is oh so short. It is a simple door which if you find you can simply walk through.

Our purpose

We were created by God for a purpose. God created us out of love and for love for the purpose to love and be loved. No higher purpose can a man achieve than to love God and to live to serve God.

I don't know if you saw this in the news but it really impressed me.
Funny, our US Senate/House took 2 days off as they couldn't work because
of the expected storm.

On the ABC evening news, it was reported tonight that, because of the
dangers from Hurricane Isabelle approaching Washington DC, the military
members assigned the duty of guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
were given permission to suspend the assignment.

They respectfully declined the offer, "No way, Sir!"

Soaked to the skin, marching in the pelting rain of a tropical storm,
they said that guarding the Tomb was not just an assignment, it was the
highest honor that can be afforded to a serviceperson.

The tomb has been patrolled continuously, 24/7, since 1930.

I don't usually suggest that many emails be forwarded, but I'd be DAMN
proud if this one reached as many as possible.

We can be very proud of our young men and women in the service no
matter where they serve.

We may be stuck in this universe but the creator is not.

I also want to address the question of control. Is God in control. Before their was a heaven or a universe their was God. Before their were natural laws there was God. There was nothing but God. Alone. Nothing else. No one. Nothing but himself. Nothing to make anything out of, no rules. We are made out of what he created with what he had on hand, Himself. If God takes a whim, we disappear like a vision vanishes at a sudden clap of thunder. No trace-no rememberance of who we were or that we even existed.

Marriage is an issue of natural law and has everything to do with procreation and survival of the human race and homosexuality has nothing to do with the survival of the human race. If you have any doubts about this premise check with the Spartans who had a homosexual society and had a hard time maintaining their ranks because of their homosexuality and is the precise reason they were ultimately conquered. In their final war there were only 800 Spartiat hoplites available. They were simply overwhelmed.

Chronic fatigue syndrome

I occassionaly suffer from unexplained fatigue.At the same time I suffer from unexplained
cut near the lips ( on inside of the mouth )by my teeth. Last time this happened I caught malaria .

Answer
I regret that I am not familiar with the details of malaria as it is quite rare in the United States where I live.

Have you seen a doctor to see if it my have recurred? You should always see a doctor to find out if you have a recognized condition. Many conditions can cause fatigue. Some are serious. Some are not.

If you have seen a doctor and still don't have an answer, then I need to ask a few questions about your fatigue. Chronic fatigue can have many causes.

Do you have gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, soft stools, gas and bloating? According to alternative medicine, chronic fatigue is often caused by undiagnosed Candida, helicobacter pylori, or parasitic infections of the colon. Helicobacter pylori is the bacteria that was recently discovered to cause stomach ulcers. It is also strongly suspected of causing other gastrointestinal problems and fatigue.

Are you consuming nutrasweet? Nutrasweet contains formaldehyde, methanol and many other toxins. The Center for Disease Control now recognizes that Nutrasweet (aspartame) can contribute to chronic fatigue.

There are two tests that I highly recommend to everyone. The first is a food allergy blood test. The second is an adrenal test. The adrenal test is available from the Great Smokies Lab (www.gsdl.com) and the food allergy test is available from Meridian Valley Lab (http://www.meridianvalleylab.com/). They are both controversial and your doctor may not be willing to order them. To find one that will, contact the lab for a referral.

If you have gastrointestinal problems, be sure to emphasize these to your doctor even if they are only inconvenient and don't seem that important. Mainstream MDs don't believe in certain conditions such as Candida infections of the GI tract, but they can often find and treat other problems. It is worth seeing one to test for other problems.

Diet can help. I found that the Zone diet helped me. The Zone diet is 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fat at every meal. For more info, see the book "Enter the Zone" by Dr. Barry Sears.

Try to determine if you have any food allergies and avoid these foods. This can be a big cause of fatigue.

Another cause of chronic fatigue is something called "Wilson's Syndrome". This is a problem in which the person has a perfectly normal thyroid test and yet still has low levels of thyroid hormone. Recent studies have confirmed that this condition exists. Unfortunately, most mainstream doctors do not know about it and Wilson is a very controversial figure. To find out more, see www.wilsonssyndrome.com. The site has a list of doctors that treat the condition.

In my own case, the primary causes of my were Candida, aspartame (Nutrasweet), dust mite and food allergies. At one time, I had full-fledged chronic fatigue syndrome and was strongly considering disability. Today, I am not perfect, but I feel far better and am no longer considering disability as an option.

Many people who have CFS also have fibromyalgia. At least one doctor believes they are actually two variations of the same conditon. He also has an inexpensive treatment which many people find very effective. See www.guaidoc.com for more information and check out some of the other fibromyalgia web-sites.

There is one final condition that I would recommend checking out. It is called, "Chiari's Syndrome". This is a genetic condition in which a malformation at the base of the skull puts pressure on the base of the brain causing chronic fatigue. It is responsible for about 10% of all chronic fatigue and almost always shows up by the late teen years. If you suspect it, see a neurologist and ask about an MRI.

Turning off hair loss

The hair experiment was conducted several years ago at St. Mark's Breast Center in Auckland, New Zealand, by Dr. Timothy Meakin. He followed the progress of 13 women under-going chemotherapy.
