Reality Check: George W. Bush Has Liberated More People Than Any Leader In The History Of The World: 50 million
By nikita demosthenes

This is an historic accomplishment which makes Bush one of the greatest world leaders in history. Bush’s accomplishments for the advancement of world peace, freedom, and democracy, dwarf anything done by anyone who has ever won a Nobel Peace Prize.

Dihydrogen monoxide

Ok thats it.

I'm on board, let's ban this potentially deadly stuff.

After all 16000 sites cant be wrong----can it?

*Waiting At The Door*

I was hospitalized for a few days, and my wife reported that my dog
really missed me. "She spends the night at the front door, awaiting
your return," she said.

"What an example of true love," I replied. "I wonder if you'd be that
concerned about me?"

"Honey," my wife answered, "if you were gone overnight, and I didn't
know where you were, you can be sure I'd be waiting for you at the front
door."

Dr. Phil has done no wrong

Sorry Oprah but I would not nor did not question your right to establish your own diet plan and I will not question Dr Phils. This is America. So I totally disagree with this article from wmconnect.

Has Dr. Phil Crossed the Line?
If you're on Dr. Phil McGraw's diet, how is that working for you? You can find out all about it if you buy Dr. Phil's book, "The Ultimate Weight Loss Solution: The 7 Keys to Weight Loss Freedom," which retails for $26. Then help yourself to Dr. Phil's licensed meal replacements, shakes, pills, and supplements that can cost as much as $200 a month. The man is making a fortune from America's girth--albeit he's giving away some of it to a nonprofit foundation he created--and some are questioning the good doctor's ethics, reports The Chicago Tribune.

Despite what the fashion industry thinks, the average clothing size in the United States is not a svelte 8 for women and a 40 regular for men. Find out the very surprising truth!

What he is doing goes way beyond a personal endorsement. Who says so? --Oprah Winfrey, who introduced Dr. Phil to the world, has acknowledged that endorsing supplements was not a decision she would have made.
--The Mayo Clinic goes as far as to warn people to be wary of his recommendations for supplements, saying they do not ensure successful weight loss.
--The Licensing Letter, a newsletter published for the licensing industry: "It gives new meaning to the words 'working it,'" wrote Mary Sullivan. "If he was a medical doctor (who) specialized in nutrition, I could see it as a natural crossover. But a shrink? It smells of ethical and moral concerns."

What's the best diet for YOUR personality? If you're serious about losing weight, you need to find a diet that works with--and not against--your personality quirks and behavior traits.

Them's fightin' words. Pop psychologist Dr. Phil says that if we're fat, it's our own fault, and he'll help us change that with his diet book and weight-loss supplements. As the Chicago Tribune points out, critics say Dr. Phil is capitalizing on his trusted television persona and venturing into an area where he lacks credentials. He claims we can lose weight by changing our emotional eating behavior through "right thinking" and building "healing feelings" that will prevent overeating. Since Dr. Phil is not a medical doctor--he's a psychologist--his use of meal replacements and high-fat supplements that are pretty much unregulated by the government has raised a few eyebrows.

Dieting? The most important thing you can do to ensure success in your attempt to lose weight is to honestly answer this question.

The Mayo Clinic goes so far as to warn people to be wary of the supplements, saying the claims Dr. Phil makes about "scientifically researched levels of ingredients that can help you take better control of your weight" are exaggerated. "The types and amounts of supplements he recommends do not ensure successful weight loss," cautions the Mayo Clinic on its Web site. Dieter beware.

Thought for the day

What do you think of when you hear the word "infamy".

.....of how a nation can fight to the death to defend it's freedom-then pass it on to the vanquished--with love.

My brother has found an excellant article on why we should be in Iraq.

Existence

Trying to define existence via the mode existentialism is like finding a giant boulder half buried in the ground. You can see the top half but in trying to understand ones self you decide to dig under the boulder and find out if there is more to the thing than you could see. When you have finally dug all the way under and then all the way out the other side you discover that the boulder still looks like a boulder.
You sit down to rest and take stock. Now what did I find? Rock, dirt, more rock, more dirt. Hm. I have a hole now, but it's still just a rock.

No kidding. It exists. We would be better off spending less time on esoteric thinking and more time figuring out how to utilize existence.
Final line. You exist. If you want to know why. You have to ask that which exists why you exist. Maybe that which exists just wanted a friend who exists.

I find the idea of evolution and the survival of the fittest has two applications.

1) That mankind is always in a continous state of evolving and therfore there must be a few neanderthal hangarounds which need culling from the herd.

2) If survival of the fittest is reality we should start tossing those throwbacks off of cliffs right now before they taint the gene-pool. OOps too late they already have.

In Gods kingdom no-one is left out who wants in by Jesus.

Holy Holograms Batman

toring Data in a Hologram

The traditional way of taking a three-dimensional photograph, or hologram, involves splitting a laser beam in two, reflecting one half (known as the object beam) off the thing that is to be holographed, and then recombining it with the other half (known as the reference beam) and exposing a photographic film to the result. The process of recombination produces an interference pattern that is recorded on the film, and when this pattern is viewed in suitable lighting, an image that looks three-dimensional becomes visible to the eye.

Now researchers are on the verge of successfully using holographic techniques to place data in a 3-D format that will exponentially increase the efficiency and accessibility of storage -- up to a terabyte (1,000 gigabytes) of data on a CD-sized disk. By comparison, DVDs have a storage capacity of less than 20 gigabytes.

POETIC JUSTICE

If lawyers are disbarred and clergymen defrocked, doesn't it follow that electricians can be delighted, musicians denoted, cowboys deranged, models deposed and dry cleaners depressed?

Laundry workers could decrease, eventually becoming depressed and depleted!

Even more, bedmakers will be debunked, baseball players will be debased, landscapers will be deflowered, bulldozer operators will be degraded, organ donors will be delivered, software engineers will be detested, the BVD company will be debriefed, and even musical composers will eventually decompose.

And on a more positive note, perhaps we can hope politicians will be devoted
We cannot unilaterally pursue free market strategies internationally If the rest of the world makes market protectionism subtly or openly thier selfish national goal.

It is economic suicide.

Honesty

There is a way to tell someone the truth about anything and everthing without being rude.

If howerver the tellee becomes rude-uh in my case the gloves come off, but the right way is to shrug your shoulders and carry on knowing that you have done the right thing.

Just being honest.

I wonder what their message was?

Republicans and Social Security

Here are some solutions to save Social Security:
Modernization must not change existing benefits.
The promises made to current retirees must be kept.
Social Security payroll taxes must not be increased.
The Government itself must not invest Social Security funds in the private economy/stock market.
Strengthening Social Security to include the option of younger workers using a small portion of their Social Security taxes to set up safe personal accounts can add valuable protections for widows, divorced persons, low-income households and other Americans at risk of poverty in old age.
Personal accounts invested in safe private financial markets will earn higher rates of return than the traditional system and help workers enhance their personal savings and their freedom to retire

Testing Title Field

I'm not all fired up on the idea of outsourcing jobs.

Not that I wouldn't care but we are not coming up with the new ideas to replace the jobs or are becoming decadent enough to not invest in this country to replace them. If we outsource without replacing them then we lose.
My prediction is that this little economic boom is just that. No more than 4 to 5 years long.

I figure that our country will be bust both in the private sector as well as the public by 2018 unless we get up the nerve to invest in this country.

Spengler had a point about Europe going extinct. I was going to link to his sight except he lost me when he tried to anylize the why.

He says that Christianity lost it's credibility in Europe in WWI. Again I will say this. If Christianity has lost it's ferver then why is Christianity stronger today than it ever has been in the history of the world.

He also missed the fact that the U.S. birthrate is still robust but Europeans is in decline. 53% of U.S. citizens count God very important in thier lives. Only about 16% of Europeans do.

Do I have to say more.

You know what the problem with liars is.

They can't see the truth in front of thier face until it breaks thier nose. Then they try to sue.
Catch 22. It is a societal problem.

Our country is designed to be operated by honest people not by selfish greedy people. As long as we gravitated away from selflessnes and to selfishness no thing that we do will work the way we idealistically want it to. No matter how good our intentions.

The medical industry is a case in point. If we loosen controls then the schisters will get control. If we tighten controls then the schisters will move to the controlling mechanism ie. whichever gov. agency we set up or strenghthen to clamp down on hucksterism.

First we make a honest good society then we can accomplish anything we want.
Wellfare.

Calif. Officials Nearly Fall for H2O Hoax

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. (AP) - City officials were so concerned about the potentially dangerous properties of dihydrogen monoxide that they considered banning foam cups after they learned the chemical was used in their production.

Then they learned, to their chagrin, that dihydrogen monoxide - H2O for short - is the scientific term for water.

``It's embarrassing,'' said City Manager David J. Norman. ``We had a paralegal who did bad research.''

The paralegal apparently fell victim to one of the many official looking Web sites that have been put up by pranksters to describe dihydrogen monoxide as ``an odorless, tasteless chemical'' that can be deadly if accidentally inhaled.

As a result, the City Council of this Orange County suburb had been scheduled to vote next week on a proposed law that would have banned the use of foam containers at city-sponsored events. Among the reasons given for the ban were that they were made with a substance that could ``threaten human health and safety.''

The measure has been pulled from the agenda, although Norman said the city may still eventually ban foam cups.

``If you get Styrofoam into the water and it breaks apart, it's virtually impossible to clean up,'' Norman said.
