Now this is a freakin outrage and makes our nation worthy of a civil war.

Montana School District Sued Over Sexually Suggestive Survey of Kids

By Allie Martin and Jody Brown
May 14, 2004
(AgapePress) - A Montana school district is being sued after a child was allegedly forced to take part in a psychological study involving sexually explicit questions without parental permission.
The lawsuit claims that in October 2002 the Billings School District No. 2 agreed to allow Montana State University to use the fifth- and sixth-grade classes as human subjects. For the study, children were asked a variety of questions relating to human sexuality. The American Family Association Center for Law & Policy (CLP) is suing the district on behalf of one of those students and her mother, who is upset that school officials subjected her child to the study without her permission.
According to a CLP press release, the study purported to examine the issue of athletics and eating disorders among Native Americans and Caucasians. But the children were provided graphic drawings of the male and female genital areas and asked to circle the drawing that best resembled their own genitals.
In addition, says the press release, all the young girls in the study were required to "tightly pull the shirts back so as to expose the contour of their chests" while photographs were taken by the college students conducting the study.
Steve Crampton, chief counsel with the CLP, says the elementary students were under the impression there was nothing unusual about their participation in the study conducted by the college researchers.
"The school, apparently in an attempt to cooperate, simply turned over -- in this case -- the entire fifth-grade class, but several other classes participated as well," Crampton explains. "They marched the students into the gymnasium and simply told them, 'You will answer these questions.' From the students' perspective, it was just part of the school day."
Crampton contends says the damage inflicted upon the children as a result of the sexually explicit will be long lasting.
"You take innocent little girls and you destroy their innocence by means of this cold, so-called 'scientific' inquiry," he says. "And the school has the audacity to say to the parent, 'Well, it's really your fault in the end anyway. Your child should have spoken up and walked out' -- in spite of the fact that her entire class [was] ordered into the gymnasium."
The AFA attorney says he believes there is something wrong with public schools when grade-school students are "treated like guinea pigs" without parental knowledge.

Same-Sex Marriage Not the 'End of the World,' Federal Judge Says

Same-Sex Marriage Not the 'End of the World,' Federal Judge Says
Faith-Based Legal Groups Coming Up Short in Fight to Stop Homosexual Unions in MassachusettsBy Allie Martin, Fred Jackson, and Jody Brown
May 14, 2004
(AgapePress) - Christian law firms have lost their last-minute effort to block homosexual "marriage" in Massachusetts. An attorney for one of those firms is describing a judge's denial of a request to stop the scheduled legalization of same-sex marriage as a "dark day for America."
On Thursday, a federal judge in Boston denied the request by several pro-family legal groups to block marriage licenses from being issued to homosexual couples starting Monday. In their federal lawsuit, Liberty Counsel, the Catholic Action League, the American Family Association, and the Thomas More Law Center allege that the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) violated the U.S. Constitution's guarantee of a republican form of government when it redefined marriage to include same-sex individuals.
But a lawyer for the SJC responded that the issues "are pure questions of state law" and the federal government has no jurisdiction. The judge said the plaintiffs made it sound as if homosexual marriage would "be the end of the world." He added, "It hasn't been."
Steve Crampton, chief counsel for the American Family Association Center for Law & Policy (CLP), says the judge's decision is an insult to the biblical idea of marriage.
"The institution of marriage is God's very first social institution. This attack is as much an attack upon God and His created social order as it is upon Americans and conservatism," the attorney says. "So we are still looking to Him who is, after all, the author and finisher of our salvation, to rise up and take action at a time like this."
Brian Fahling, the CLP's senior trial attorney, said the federal court's refusal to find a constitutional violation in the case "amounts to an enshrinement of the anti-democratic principle that judges are a law unto themselves."
Continuing, Fahling said "it is impossible to overstate the tragic and historic dimension of what is happening in our nation. Same-sex [sexual relations], once universally condemned and criminalized, is elevated to the status of a constitutional right and then included in the definition of marriage."
The attorney says this has all been "ushered in and shoved down our throats" by judges and mayors he describes as being "utterly and brazenly lawless."
"We have passed through the cultural Looking Glass with Alice," Fahling states. "Up is down, and wrong is right."
But the CLP and its fellow plaintiffs are not tossing in the towel just yet. They say they will take their case to a federal appeals court.
Bible-Based Debate?
Meanwhile, a congressional hearing on a Federal Marriage Amendment protecting traditional marriage has included a discussion on what the Bible says about the matter. Both supporters and those who oppose the amendment referenced scripture during the debate.
The sponsor of the FMA, Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave of Colorado, noted during Thursday's hearing that the Declaration of Independence bases Americans' rights on "their Creator."
"The self-evident differences and complimentary design of men and women are part of that created order," Musgrave said. "We are created as male and female -- and for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined with his wife, and the two shall become one in the mystical, spiritual, and physical union we call marriage."
At one point during the debate, Democratic Congressman Barney Frank -- an open homosexual -- faced off with Republican Congressman John Hostettler over what happened when the angels came to take Lot and his family away from Sodom before God destroyed that city.
"There is biblical precedent for a former residence of Abraham's nephew, Lot, and an adverse impact on society in the case of Sodom," Hostettler said.
To which Frank responded: "But not just homosexuality, but of people trying to force themselves on other people. As described there, that's a terribly abusive situation."
Hostettler: "Which is the etymology for the term 'sodomy.'"
Facing God's Judgment
The co-founder of Campus Crusade for Christ says the legalization of same-sex marriage could bring God's judgment on the United States. Vonette Bright says the Bible condemns homosexual behavior and teaches that "nations have been destroyed before us as a result of their moral decadence."
She says America has been blessed in the past for following "the God of the Bible," but could face God's wrath for turning away. Bright says she believes that "much of what we're seeing in the gay issue is that people are not knowledgeable about who God is."
She says supporters of homosexual marriage also do not "realize the price we're going to pay."

IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES DID
NOT
PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME,
THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.
AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF
OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL
COMPANIES

THEREFORE MAY 19TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT TO THEM DAY" AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF GASOLINE THAT DAY.
THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS
MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT. WAITING ON THIS ADMINISTRATION TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES
IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO?

REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GASOLINE GOING UP BUT AT THE SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING MATERIALS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO!

WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN.

SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO
EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE MAY 19TH A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS OF THE

UNITED STATES SAY "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH"

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention
of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to
skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly
proclaiming

WOW!! What a Ride!

Faith and Truth

Faith is nothing without truth. You can have all the faith in the world but unless you step out in the truth your faith is as nothing.
Jesus say's that the truth shall set you free not your faith but the truth.

Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Liars are condemned as well. I know a couple of people who are heading that direction. Dorthy and definately Vannessa.

Survivor Allstar

Rupert

So Rupert won the million in the peoples vote. YOU know why? Because people still highly value honesty, integrity, loyalty, and admire people who are straight up no matter what.
Rupert showed us that he would rather give up the million but keep himself and we the people rewarded him for the sacrifice by giving him a million. Yes I voted for him too.

To me that says that our hearts yearn for someone to trust and Rupert exemplified what a man of his word means and that not only can a person win by keeping his soul but that we can reward those who will be people of their words.

It is the way I feel-if I can't do it on the table and be honest about it then I won't do it at all. No looking over my shoulder for any reason. The Right hand of God's righteousness comes to mind.

One of my favorite verses in the Bible. Isiah 51:10. Yeah I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness; I believe.

I don't care what any body say's; I love the show survivor because on every show these people change and not for the worst. The travail strips away the hard hearted shell and these people get a chance to see themselves for who and what they are. Rob may have been the biggest winner in that department. He say's " I'm not sure I liked what I saw in my self". Whoo hoo! I wish him and Amber all the happiness and joy and contentment that God will grant a couple. What God hath joined together let no man put assunder.
I grant as God gave me the gift to; a blessing.
That they live a long life of love and joy together.

Bombshell Study: Half of Teens Do THIS

Almost half of American teenagers have cheated on high school exams, according to the 2003 Gallup Youth Survey taken between January 2003 and March 2004. Nailing down real numbers of who cheats and who doesn't is always tricky business since the only sure count is based on those who were caught in the act. So Gallup anonymously polled 2,000 randomly selected high school students and asked them how common they think cheating is at their schools and whether they themselves have ever cheated.

The answers are chilling. Fully 46 percent of the students ages 13 to 17 confessed to cheating on at least one test or major exam, and 65 percent acknowledged that cheating was a problem in their schools, report The Denver Post and the New York Post. (On the up side, that means 53 percent of teens have not cheated.) Summing up the poll's results, Frank Newport, editor-in-chief of the Gallup Poll, told the New York Post, "There's a whole lotta cheating going on. About half the students said they're cheating. That's a significant issue.

Why do kids cheat--even when they know it's wrong?

The survey didn't ask that question, but Gallup said in the analysis of the results that competition and pressure to get into college is one reason "middle-achieving teens" cheat. Cheating doesn't stop at high school graduation. Citing research conducted by the Center for Academic Integrity at Duke University, the Denver Post reports that 75 percent of college students admitted to cheating in general. In a 1999 survey, one-third of 2,100 students on 21 campuses confessed to serious cheating, which included downloading papers or plagiarizing from the Internet.

Thanks to wmconnect

---------------------------------------------------------------------

And this is what I think.

The kids are cheating because more and more it is not unacceptable. And one of the reasons for a company to outsource to another country.

In any business prosperity and longevity depends upon the total honesty of the individuals working for the company. If the employees are not honest then things like Enron happen. I haven't met anyone who was not frightend or disgusted about that scandel and I talk to literally scores to hundreds of people on a monthly basis; just because I am a prolific yakker by the way.
Frankly if I were a businessman and I couldn't trust the companies that I outsourced here in the USA but I could find an honest one outside the country-you bet I would outsource, to keep from going broke because of the lying cheating employees.
If the kids have been taught to cheat by not being punished for cheating or have discovered in some strange sense of justice that if they tell the truth they will be disciplined, and if they lie they will be rewarded(don't scoff that is the way it is working these days)then the climate for a robust economy has seen it's better days in this nation. Sorry that is the way things work. Of the incredible number of times that I have been faced with the opportunity to lie I have not. Most of the time no matter the hurt feelings I would rather die than lie. That is the way it used to be in America and I have to say that it is not the case any more.

America's Greatness

This is a comment from the evangelist Bill Bright. It can be said that Bill Bright is Right.

In the 1830's, French diplomat Alexis de Tocqueville toured America in
search of the key to America's greatness. When his tour had been
completed, he made this observation: "I sought for the key to the
greatness of America in her harbors...; in her fertile fields and
boundless forests; in her rich mines and vast world commerce; in her
public school system and institutions of learning. I sought for it in
her democratic Congress and in her matchless Constitution. Not until I
went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with
righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power.
America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to
be good, America will cease to be great."

He continues, "The Americans combine the notions of Christianity and of
liberty so intimately in their minds that it is impossible to make them
conceive the one without the other."

Foolishness of God is far greater that all the wisdom of man combined throughout the ages

It pleased God to descide to be one of us born in a barn to an unmarried couple live in obscurity for 30 years before he descided to reveal himself. And then chose the uneducated and uninitiated in wisdom and knowledge to be his desciples and then messengers and leaders of the church that is the city of new Jeruselaem For the purpose of reconciling the world unto himself. It pleased God to walk about during this time and make mad all the religious leaders of the world at that time let them set a trap for him and walk into it and let them kill him.

To men utter foolishness

In Gods wisdom he descided not to reveal himself by Mans wisdom and so to man God is unfathomable by reasoning.

Yet if men will put aside their reasoning for the purpose of fathoming God then will it be revealed unto men the Glory of God.

News Flash

Hey Al, I was going over the list of people who own and now write for the telegram and it appears that the class of 76 has taken over the paper. I know every one of those people.

Mr. Toot

I just descided to surf on up to the old home town newspaper and low and behold I found this. Pretty cool huh AL. For a little background Ray Paulson is our 3rd or 4th cousin and was a local pop tv weatherman. I have had a couple of chance meatings with him when I was young on the streets of Superior and he recognized me. He was always a sweetheart of a man. And certainly came from the same stock as our Dad (also named Raymond), tall deep voiced and generally; though I avoided Dad like the plague for fear of somehow offending him and he losing it with consequenses unknown, looked upon my pop as the reighning world champ, Superman, undefeated and all. Ray Paulson carried himself just as well.

Well enough gibberish, here is the quote with the link.

Joining Martin and McKenna is retired television celebrity Ray Paulsen.

Paulsen is remembered by many for his role as a television weatherman and as Bozo the Clown and Mr. Toot in the 1960's. The three have a combined 126 years of experience in broadcasting, lead by Lew Martin who got his start in 1937. All three were on-staff announcers when WDSM-TV signed on the air in 1952.
