It is the VETERAN, not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the VETERAN, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the VETERAN, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the VETERAN, not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the VETERAN,
who salutes the Flag,
It is the veteran,
who serves under the Flag,
ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD,
AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM.
I don't know if you saw this in the news but it really impressed me.
Funny, our US Senate/House took 2 days off as they couldn't work because
of the expected storm.
On the ABC evening news, it was reported tonight that, because of the
dangers from Hurricane Isabelle approaching Washington DC, the military
members assigned the duty of guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
were given permission to suspend the assignment.
They respectfully declined the offer, "No way, Sir!"
Soaked to the skin, marching in the pelting rain of a tropical storm,
they said that guarding the Tomb was not just an assignment, it was the
highest honor that can be afforded to a serviceperson.
The tomb has been patrolled continuously, 24/7, since 1930.
I don't usually suggest that many emails be forwarded, but I'd be DAMN
proud if this one reached as many as possible.
We can be very proud of our young men and women in the service no
matter where they serve.
God Bless them.

I want to change this to God is the one who gave us these things the veteran was the tool and is duly recognized for it.
Let us hope that we do not forget this and dishonor the veterens who gave so much in blood and I want to reiterate that they not be required to give more on account of those whom would abuse their freedoms by doing what they want and not what they ought.

Hi Dan it is me and i am back from surgery. Like I am want to be I was a conglomerate of cranky and joking like a dichotomy of the struggle for my soul. If my arm was cut off God has given me the Grace to laugh about it and humbles me in my realization that I do not quite succeed in the laughter.

Hunting and pecking
I just had another 12 hour day of extreme work so I don't feel the need to hunt and peck to day. In fact due to a minor medical problem I'll be here but it may be a little while before I blog.
God bless.
God bless.

Funding Evil draws a roadmap illustrating how terrorist organizations -- especially Islamist terror organizations -- are funded. It exposes the most vital and venomous sources of terrorists' financial power, including state sponsorship, government corruption, and the illegal drug trade. It draws a parallel between terrorists and organized crime, and identifies their common activities, such as money laundering, fraud, market manipulation, and smuggling. The book sheds light on how these activities have gone undetected for decades while terrorists have recruited thousands to their ranks and millions to their cause -- amassing fortunes in the process.

Polls
I see that inspite of some liberal polls that President Bush has stretched his lead this weak. I got the link from Mr Nicodemo's site
Poll: Bush support holds despite Iraq, 9/11 hearingsBy Susan Page, USA TODAY
WASHINGTON — President Bush's lead over Democrat John Kerry has widened a bit in a USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll despite two weeks that have been dominated by a deteriorating security situation in Iraq and criticism of his administration's handling of the terrorism threat before the Sept. 11 attacks.
The survey, taken Friday through Sunday, showed Bush leading Kerry 51% to 46% among likely voters, slightly wider than the 3-point lead he held in early April. The shifts were within the margin of error of +/- 4 percentage points in the sample of likely voters.
The president's job approval rating was steady at 52%.

Politics: Why Kerry and Blair Have 'Scheduling Problems'
by Richard Wolffe | Apr 19 '04
After last month's flap about which foreign leaders support him, you'd think John Kerry would jump at the chance to get a few words of support from George W. Bush's closest ally. But when British Prime Minister Tony Blair tried to meet the Democratic presidential candidate this week, Kerry said he was just too busy.
Both sides insisted they wanted to meet the other and blamed scheduling difficulties. But the cool response from the Kerry campaign is an unusual twist in what should be an easy relationship. Both leaders are liberals at home and internationalists abroad. Both were lawyers in their early careers and both play the guitar in their downtime. Both have even shared an adviser in Bob Shrum, Kerry's media guru who helped Blair's team during its 2001 re-election
But the problems seem easy to solve. Blair flies from his vacation in Bermuda to New York on Thursday--the same day Kerry leaves Manhattan, after a campaign stop .

Antithetics
This guy Dan made an excellant comment concerning the existance of God, at HAC's site so much so that I thought a link was necessary.
"I don't care if your points are scientific, logically valid or the product of "early indoctrination"...there is so much more to philosophy than the confined structures of rigor we impose upon ourselves. That's what's so funny about this whole discussion. You guys are still so trapped in the idea that you are actually capable of arriving at THE (unlimited) TRUTH by using the limited constructs of human invention! It's arrogant! You might be smart people, hell, I'm a smart enough person myself, but it is all meaningless if I assume that I am capable of truly arriving at truth by using only one aspect of my manifest reality, namely my ability to 'almost' reason!"
After which I made these comments without having first read his. Hmmm. Quite a coincedence don't you think.
kidevgas,
"and I'm with the ancient romans on considering christianity a dangerous superstition(and it certainly did end up doing a number on them)."
I'm interested as to how you think passive christians brought down Rome?
I say the Roman civilization died a natural death due to it's apathy for survival.

Amanda.
If the creator of the natural laws of the universe descided to move about and alter things such as time; since we exist in the same universe beholding to time, we would also alter with it so we wouldn't know unless the very same creator showed it to us.
We may be stuck in this universe but the creator is not.
I also want to address the question of control. Is God in control. Before their was a heaven or a universe their was God. Before their were natural laws there was God. There was nothing but God. Alone. Nothing else. No one. Nothing but himself. Nothing to make anything out of, no rules. We are made out of what he created with what he had on hand, Himself. If God takes a whim, we disappear like a vision vanishes at a sudden clap of thunder. No trace-no rememberance of who we were or that we even existed.

At his maintenance we live and in his timing the flesh dies. We do not however.
Can you buy a friend. Everyone knows that you cannot.
If you love someone can you make them love you. Everyone knows that you cannot.
You must choose to love God. You must choose to want to be with God.
If you truly want to be with someone and you truly love someone you must let them choose to be with you not force them. Everyone knows what would happen if they tried to force you to love them. You would run from them as soon and as fast and as far away as possible.

Natural laws are not for God they are for us. Our fence. God does not see us as temporary. He sees us as eternal. Forever. Infinite. We see ourselves as temporary. Finite. We think finitely. Limited. And our minds being limited think of a limited God. He is not.
We get to choose to spend our eternity with God or not. What is your choice? To think of a limited God and miss the mark(in greek, sin)and miss eternity in paradise or to choose to love him accept his forgiveness for our pitiful limited attempts like little babies at trying to emulate him? In his image.

Natural Law
Morality is Absolute:
Equal Protection Clause Has Nothing to do with Same-Sex Marriage
Dr. Jaffa: Certainly. The Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment was instituted along with the original clause which reads: "Persons born and residing in the United States are citizens of the United States and the state wherein they reside."
Dr. Jaffa is right about the equal protection clause in the 14th amendment. It is about citizenship and voting rights not sexual preference and since homo's can vote they are not being denied a say in the U.S..
Marriage is an issue of natural law and has everything to do with procreation and survival of the human race and homosexuality has nothing to do with the survival of the human race. If you have any doubts about this premise check with the Spartans who had a homosexual society and had a hard time maintaining their ranks because of their homosexuality and is the precise reason they were ultimately conquered. In their final war there were only 800 Spartiat hoplites available. They were simply overwhelmed.
Dr. Jaffa rightly states that homosexuality is an aberration not a norm just as cleptomainia is an aberration.

Chronic fatigue syndrome
Expert:Frank Jenner

Subject:cronic upset stomach & mouth injuries
Question
I occassionaly suffer from unexplained fatigue. At the same time I suffer from unexplained
cut near the lips ( on inside of the mouth )by my teeth. Last time this happened I caught malaria .
Answer
I regret that I am not familiar with the details of malaria as it is quite rare in the United States where I live.
Have you seen a doctor to see if it my have recurred? You should always see a doctor to find out if you have a recognized condition. Many conditions can cause fatigue. Some are serious. Some are not.
If you have seen a doctor and still don't have an answer, then I need to ask a few questions about your fatigue. Chronic fatigue can have many causes.
Do you have gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, soft stools, gas and bloating? According to alternative medicine, chronic fatigue is often caused by undiagnosed Candida, helicobacter pylori, or parasitic infections of the colon. Helicobacter pylori is the bacteria that was recently discovered to cause stomach ulcers. It is also strongly suspected of causing other gastrointestinal problems and fatigue.
Are you consuming nutrasweet? Nutrasweet contains formaldehyde, methanol and many other toxins. The Center for Disease Control now recognizes that Nutrasweet (aspartame) can contribute to chronic fatigue.
There are two tests that I highly recommend to everyone. The first is a food allergy blood test. The second is an adrenal test. The adrenal test is available from the Great Smokies Lab (www.gsdl.com) and the food allergy test is available from Meridian Valley Lab (http://www.meridianvalleylab.com/). They are both controversial and your doctor may not be willing to order them. To find one that will, contact the lab for a referral.
If you have gastrointestinal problems, be sure to emphasize these to your doctor even if they are only inconvenient and don't seem that important. Mainstream MDs don't believe in certain conditions such as Candida infections of the GI tract, but they can often find and treat other problems. It is worth seeing one to test for other problems.
Diet can help. I found that the Zone diet helped me. The Zone diet is 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fat at every meal. For more info, see the book "Enter the Zone" by Dr. Barry Sears.
Try to determine if you have any food allergies and avoid these foods. This can be a big cause of fatigue.
Another cause of chronic fatigue is something called "Wilson's Syndrome". This is a problem in which the person has a perfectly normal thyroid test and yet still has low levels of thyroid hormone. Recent studies have confirmed that this condition exists. Unfortunately, most mainstream doctors do not know about it and Wilson is a very controversial figure. To find out more, see www.wilsonssyndrome.com. The site has a list of doctors that treat the condition.
In my own case, the primary causes of my were Candida, aspartame (Nutrasweet), dust mite and food allergies. At one time, I had full-fledged chronic fatigue syndrome and was strongly considering disability. Today, I am not perfect, but I feel far better and am no longer considering disability as an option.
Many people who have CFS also have fibromyalgia. At least one doctor believes they are actually two variations of the same conditon. He also has an inexpensive treatment which many people find very effective. See www.guaidoc.com for more information and check out some of the other fibromyalgia web-sites.
There is one final condition that I would recommend checking out. It is called, "Chiari's Syndrome". This is a genetic condition in which a malformation at the base of the skull puts pressure on the base of the brain causing chronic fatigue. It is responsible for about 10% of all chronic fatigue and almost always shows up by the late teen years. If you suspect it, see a neurologist and ask about an MRI.

Turning off hair loss
The hair experiment was conducted several years ago at St. Mark's Breast Center in Auckland, New Zealand, by Dr. Timothy Meakin. He followed the progress of 13 women under-going chemotherapy. During their 24-week treatment, they sat for brief periods of time beneath a device resembling a hair dryer. Coils inside the hood created a localized electromagnetic field around their scalps. All but one of the women kept their hair. And some experienced hair growth.
I put this article in my blog not because I am experiencing hair loss but for those of you who are.
I found the article on the internet by entering Turn off hair loss in my search engine slot and clicking go.
