Naughty or nice
It takes the grace of God to forgive us for not being perfect. That Present was delivered to us on the day Emanuel was born. Though we are not sure of the exact date we celebrate it every December 25th.
The birth of our salvation from our inability to be good enough.
33 years after his birth he sacrificed himself as the final passover lamb not just for the Isrealites but for all of mankind and with these simple words"Father forgive them for they know not what they do", granted any who would by the simple realization that Jesus is God and that with a simple admitance that they sinned(missed the mark). Except that God plainly forgive us of our debt unto him no one could ever have eternal life.
One simple sentance saves you forever. It is-Jesus save me, forgive me of my sins.

Terroristic Threats
Never the less the only thing that anyone could tell me to do is try to force me to get sick-o-therapy which they would have to drag me to in chains. Either way what I do in my own self is still not a terroristic threat. There do however seem to be some fruit and nut-cases out there that apparently think that doing those things is actually some kind of threat like it would really happen or that stuff really happens to people when I do that. Screaming Rofl. Now who needs the psycho-therapist.
Whether I could do so and harm people with my mind or not how could any give witness against it for who could give scientific proof. None could.
Now I understand that the prophets of old had a sword but was it real or was it in the spirit with the power to kill a living breathing human being. After all the man and wife died at Peters feet when they withheld and Peter called them out before God in the matter. And if you did not believe in Jesus nor the bible nor God nor that a man could wield such a power but you became afraid of me when I tell you that I will put this spiritual sword to you then who needs the freaking therapy.
If these things are so and you have noticed that people whom offend me are suddenly turning up ill and are dying from diverse sorts of disease I would sure like you to prove this to me then I would know that I was indeed one of the most powerful men on earth. After all by your proofs I would have within me the power over life and death.
See where these nuts have to go with this.
Unfortunately there are some in law enforcement who think that what a person thinks constitutes terroristic threats and
unfortunately I think we have hired way to many nuts into law enforcement. You know the kind I mean. The ones that swear that they hear the voice of God in their heads. Or how about the ones who think they know what other people are thinking. Nuts everyone of them. In fact I think I got a ticket from one of them the other day. The reason I think that is as he was walking back to his squad car I just happened to glance in my side view mirrow after him. As he got to the back bumper of the vehicle I was in he suddenly turned around in a-draw sucker stance. I am thinking what the f--k is he doing? Nuts, he's nuts, they hired a nut.
What matters in this country by our constitution is what a man does, not what he says(or thinks). By the way that is called freedom of speach. Oh yeah that's right we don't follow the constitution any more We just give it lipservice.
Thinking that you can hear what other people think is where that which is most evil exists and I guarantee you that no man outside of God can discern when he might be deceived into thinking that he heard someone say something that they have absolutely not thought. That being so the accuracy of what they think they hear is going to be low especially if he can get his people to do something to some-one he hates like Christians.
By the way these people are called Men of the Beast or MOB for short. Yeah that's right, I said MOB. Now you know when the idiots in the news media are referring to Organized Crime as Mob activity they are probably not correct. Though the MOB may be into organized crime it is usually more directed at a goal other than money. That being World domination. Now you also know that all these stupid things that go on in the effort to bring about a one world Government actually have a directing agent. Satan.( Not to be confused with Mafia. Though some of these demonic men are or were apart of the Mafia, the Mafia is in essence a different group of people.) Most Mobsters that I have met (Yes I have met a few) Fact is I have come to recognize them (the old "I see you for who you are" thing)are vocally quiet and though they appear to be nice if you pick at them a little a beast will jump right out at you. A little thin skinned they are. Still they apparently communicate at a different level And everything is memorized, there would be no written record of what they were doing and if so it would be very hard to determine what except for a ragged general direction mainly an effort at trying to get rid of everything concerning Jesus.
That being said Jesus says resist the Devil and he shall flee comes into play. In other words it is very important for Christians of all ilks not to be drawn into anything such as rumormongering and ostracizing any one unless there is incontrovertible evidence. Even then it is a Christians job to ignore rumors and treat all people with the utmost love and respect......
Funny how I meander here. Back to the main course.
Frankly All souls belong to God and no one dies before their time but if someone you know whom offended me suddenly up and died maybe you should ask me if I put the sword to them. I won't lie I would simply tell you. But I guarantee you I will gleefully make fools of you if you try and blame me for their death. That would be something akin to blaming me for hurricane Katrina (bait), Or the Tsunami in Indonesia (nibble).
I suppose that about sums it all up. This is a challenge you know. No lieing allowed. God is watching and sees everything.

Holocaust
When I was 26 years old and a Air Force Reservist we were as a Unit required to tour over seas once every 4 years. It was my first year in and my first Annual tour in the spring of 1985 we went to Germany.
In the middle weekend some of our people had arranged a tour to Munich which we did some touristy stuff like visited Oberamagau, The Deutch museum, Neushwanstein and others. Also we went to the Concentration camp memorial at Auschwitz. Not much is left there but a couple of what looked like 150 ft long barracks they housed the detainees in. My memories of the place are sketchy after 20 years but I still have one that brings back the same feeling I had that day.
In one of the few remaining barracks they had posted a history and thousands upon thousands of pictures of when it was an operating concentration camp. I can not describe how horrifying this was. I made it 2/3 of the way through before I could take it no more and had to leave the building. I still get light headed and queasy and my mind fights not to remember any of those pictures. I vaguely recall one series about a gas chamber disguised as a shower before: showing the old Duisenberg auto being hooked up; during the loading up with people, and after all those people who were alive now heaped upon the floor. I think this is the one that made me sick not to mention all of the incredibly emaciated bodies. They had statistics on everything with pictures of piles of false teeth and skulls and.........God I can't think of this much longer.
To have run away from this place was unthinkable though some part of me tried. Somehow I knew I needed to stay a little longer if for no other reason than to somehow be there for the people who suffered . I remember looking out across the compound in shock. I remember the stillness. Not an easy peaceful quiet but something hard as if God had turned his back on this place.
About 40 of us went on this tour and everyone I looked at was white as a ghost.
I have been around this world and have seen and talked with many many people from just about every nation, creed or religion. I have seen and done just about anything a man could desire. I have been apart of prepping for war which included the mental aspect of knock down dragout battles with utter confusion and the loss of friends in the fight. I worked in a nursing home at that time and saw the end of peoples lives as they wasted away languishing alone with no family, I have had to stand bedside watch as some took their very last breath. I remember waiting for their chest to rise but it didn't. I have seen some horribly disfiguring wounds and cancers eating away at human bodies, but nothing could have prepared me for the experience I had that day.
I hope and pray this world never sees another event like this. If it does then mankind truly is lost to not have learned anything from and would truly be deserving of destruction.

Heat Pumps
Well it's been two days and I forgot what I was going to tell you. Oh yeah.
The way that it's done is the refrigerant temperature is made lower than the surrounding air allowing it to be heated up and the heat transported into your house or business.
One of the issues that had to be dealt with was that frost will build up on the condensor coil outside. To combat this a defrost system was added to periodically eliminate the frost. How most of them operate is every thirty to ninety minutes a logic circuit will test for temperature and when it senses 18 to 26 degrees on the coil it will engage the defrost cycle. Turning off the condensor fan changing the reversing valve to cool and turning on the auxiliary heating elements in the air handler(inside the house). This makes a great whooshing sound much like an old time steam freight train starting up. The compressor now no longer masked by the sound of the fan will grow louder as it heats up the coil until the defrost control times out or the sensor indicates that the coil is warm enough at which time the control board will send the unit back into normal operation attended of course by the loud whoosh but now; if there was a bit of frost built up, by a large ejection of steam and vapor out of the top of the outdoor unit. Which brings us to the crux of this article.
Every year we receive a number of panic calls from people who have never seen a heat pump go in or come out of defrost who are convinced that there unit just BLEW UP!

I have descided that TTLB is a subjective rater and his intent is to list the blogs that he mainly likes. OK ,but that is for him and not for the rest of us. I told you that I would find another way (and I have) not subject to his algorithms. Besides I just checked out the technorati top 100 and found out that the rankings appear to be scewered around a bit because Boing Boing is is is da ta da number one.
I suppose that I could go finish up my programming degree and figure out how to build a rater system along my lines of thinking too.
If I were rating blogs I would have to say that traffic and links would have to count, even link slutters. Why? Because it is about getting some people to your site so you can make a buck. Of course I don't have that problem because I ain't got no advertising. Maybe in the future but I figure that if I can't pay one hundred percent to my site why mess around with that.

He is right. who cares if someone is out to get ya. "That's their problem". why worry, they have to do all the work and it is a lot more stressful on them than they will admit. All you have to worry about is not being gettable. If you worry about being gotten too then you are letting them win at least half of the battle so cut your worries in half. Being shweetie baby and lambsie poo is all you have to do. Do that with the truth and you will be able to hold your head up while someone else is trying to 'make you look bad' but the real truth is 'they are bad'.
Remember that being a decent human being will never include rumor mongers.

Dougherty buttressed his case by claiming he suffered pain, humiliation and financial loss. He wants US$3 million from Home Depot. However, a witness has come forward to say that Dougherty had made a similar claim more than a year ago in the town where they both live. Dougherty's lawyer has rebutted the accusation."

The problem with not counting trackbacks is also that TTLB will not know if any other bloggers are up and coming and it does open a door for a competing blog rating system. There have always been people who figure out how to cheat systems. And no matter what TTLB does people will figure out ways around those efforts . If NZ works too hard at being fair he will end up just making arbitrary decisions on who he likes and doesn't like or at least be giving the appearancee of judging and the blogosphere is not going to like that and vote with their electronic feet and go elsewhere.
One of the ways that I acquired some attention was to go to a lot of sites and make comments. That is how I got my highest rating of adorable rodent(correction Marauding Marsupial) somewhere in the 4000 to 4500 range. Which I have to profess surprise and almost a total lack of understanding at how this stuff really works, but never the less.
I have also noticed that TTLB has some problem with their system because I have 8 or nine links with people who are definitelyly respectable and quite high in their rankings but they are not listed which is giving me a snot rating of blah blah. I was excited and looking forward to the challenge of figuring out ways to get to the next level when this crap started(waaaaaa).
Even so I think it is time for other raters to compete.

The Human Condition
Is often determined by circumstances or chance or God if you preferr (which is what I say), which I shall label as human circumstance.
I shall describe these events with an event which took place in my life and a moral attached.
When I was in my twenties I had an enormous colon (still have) and consequently left enormous piles, if you know what I mean. Well on one particular day I descided to flush before I was finished. A few seconds later I felt something very cold and wet on my bottom that for a second of hesitation and then from suprised realization I lept from the commode. Egads crap water has touched my butt. IT's the BLOB ahhhhhh! Now it's running out of the pot and coming after me ieeeeee!

Pro - Life
I was going to do an article defending the Presidents policy of not asking Scotus nominees their stance on such devisive subjects as 'abortion' and the 'marriage is between a man and a woman only' stuff but I found this item for anti abortion people that many may not know about.
As for the reason the President is not asking. There are probably two main purposes. One of which is a tactic to blunt the Dummo-crats anti-Christian agenda, and the lessor is to remain objective in his choice. He get's to say in public "I don't know". to which the media can only say "he doesn't know". Which get's a whispering quiet belly waving chuckle from me. So the ultra right wing( you know the ones who are treading on the edge of the road about to stumble into the ditch)needs to KNOCK IT OFF!

Senior Brian Ramirez was recently forced to serve an in-school suspension for wearing sweatshirts with messages such as "Abortion is homicide" and "She is a child, not a choice." The student also was penalized with a zero grade for each day's lab missed while in suspension, and informed that for each day he continued to wear clothing bearing a pro-life message he would remain on suspension.

I would say that the Democrats definitely qualify as a part of this verse whereby the effort is being made to unify this world under one government. Instead of working for good and God they are working at odds against him using known evil methods. That being so, their plans are for naught because of this: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.

Strange though the mention of flatteries in this verse lends me to wonder if the troubles mentioned previously in verse 32 and 33. At least here in the U.S. it appears that sequestering and isolation techniques are being employed. It is also possible that these are just preliminary in nature. but the mention of flatteries hints that the methods are not necessarily overt.
And so it is-another entry concerning what my blog is really about. Prophecy.

I am a self centered B-----d
Being on one of those Zen style self examining trips I have discovered somethings about myself which I can summ up as: A straight forward totalitarian Buddhist. A realist who will become a nudist and live in a nudist colony(God help the other nudists), because my life most Resembles One Life to Live and in a final desperate bid for respectability I shall commit a heinous act of counterfeit , but never fear, I rise above it all and become a millionaire dying in my prime with only this final say.

In your kitchen cabinet, you've probably got a spraybottle with an adjustable nozzle. If you twist the nozzle one way, it sprays a fine mist into the air. You twist the nozzle the other way, it squirts a jet of water in a straight line. You turn that nozzle to the exact position you want so you can wash a mirror, clean up a spill, or whatever. If the universe had expanded a little faster, the matter would have sprayed out into space like fine mist from a water bottle - so fast that a gazillion particles of dust would speed into infinity and never even form a single star. If the universe had expanded just a little slower, the material would have dribbled out like big drops of water,then collapsed back where it came from by the force of gravity. A little too fast, and you get a meaningless spray of fine dust. A little too slow, and the whole universe collapses back into one big black hole. The surprising thing is just how narrow the difference is. To strike the perfect balance between too fast and too slow, the force, something that physicists call "the Dark Energy Term" had to be accurate to one part in ten with 120 zeros. In their paper "Disturbing Implications ofa Cosmological Constant" two atheist scientists from Stanford University stated that the existence of this dark energy term "Would have required a miracle... An external agent, external to space and time, intervened in cosmic history for reasons of its own." Just for comparison, the best human engineering example is the Gravity Wave Telescope, which was built with a precision of 23 zeros. The Designer, the 'externalagent' that caused our universe must possess an intellect,knowledge, creativity and power trillions and trillions of times greater than we humans have. Absolutely amazing. Now a person who doesn't believe in God has to find some way to explain this. One of the more common explanations seems to be "There was an infinite number of universes, so it was inevitable that things would have turned out right in at least one of them." The "infinite universes" theory is truly an amazing theory. Just think about it, if there is an infinite number of universes, then absolutely everything is not only possible...It's actually happened! It means that somewhere, in some dimension, there is a universe where the Chicago Cubs won the World Series last year. There's a universe where Jimmy Hoffa doesn't get cement shoes; instead he marries Joan Rivers and becomes President of the United States. There's even a universe where Elvis kicks his drug habit and still resides at Graceland and sings at concerts. Imagine the possiblities! I might sound like I'm joking, but actually I'm dead serious. To believe an infinite number of universes made life possible by random chance is to believe everything else I just said, too. Some people believe in God with a capital G. And some folks believe in Chance with a Capital C. Tomorrow's installment: "If you can read this email,I can prove to you that God exists." Sound a little bold? In the November 2005 issue of Discover, I found this little blurb: "A Japanese scientist finds that human hands, foreheads, and the soles of the feet emit detectable light." Are you as stunned as I was? As always, I was very excited to learn something totally new, doubly so in this case because the folks who confidently proclaim that things like psychic phenomena can't possibly exist because science hasn't seen any evidence of them are going to have to accept that if they just now realized that light, which is hardly a new thing in the world of science, comes out of human skin, isn't it reasonable to think that there MIGHT be some energies that they DON'T know about going out of and/or into us that they haven't detected yet?

Graft in the medical /insurance industry is in serious need of investigation.
When you go to a medical facility and you are asked to pay upfront, be cautious. It is better to sign a finacial agreement that you will pay x amount of dollars except for copays.
I have recently interviewed an individual who works for MRI Management LLC, a billing office for Open MRI's (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) in Georgia, Florida' and Arkansas who are ripping insurance companies and patients off.
They will take an upfront payment and when the insurance pays, if there is an overpayment between the two and there is a credit balance owed they are not calling to tell nor allowing staff to notify the patient or insurance company of a refund.
Also, if an insurance company overpays they do not automatically refund the insurance company per the "Dr./ owner" who will not authorize it. My confident quotes management, "Do not process any refunds unless requested by the patient". Hmmmm, I wonder....sounds like the "Dr" is definitely not following the law . Insurance laws state that "if a patient or insurance company is due a refund" then these accounts should be worked and any monies found overpaid refunded. According to my snitch the MRI's Management LLC will keep the patient's and the insurance companies overpayment.
In just the small center my informant works, there has so far been an average of $1700.00 a week in credits owed. This would add up to $88,400.00 a year. For the three larger centers in Macon, Ga, Suncoast and Tallahassee,FL that would be a credit balance of $2500.00 a week with a yearly toal of $130,000.00 for each center. So, for the small centers that would be a yearly total of refunds illegally kept in the amount of $530,000.00 and for the larger centers $390,000.00. The total for all centers is $920,000.00. A tidy little sum I say. These discoveries were made in the 3 months that the individual has worked for this corp. and If this policy has been ongoing for the 5 years I hear this place has been open that would make an estimated 3.5 to 4.5 million in monies illegally pocketed.
Again my suggestion for patients is not to pay anything up front, make them tell you how much you will owe and sign a financial agreement so they can only charge the amount owed after insurance pays. It has always been a standard with me that when I go for any type of radiology I never pay anything up front, or for that matter any medical services.
Tell them to bill you.
As for this particular business. Their day will come.

Ample supplies of natural gas are available at competitive prices to help meet the nation's growing energy needs. Because natural gas is the cleanest burning fossil fuel, it is playing an increasing role in helping to attain national goals of a cleaner environment, energy security and a more competitive economy.The natural gas industry currently provides about 25 percent of the energy consumed in the United States, and accounts for 31 percent of the nation's energy production. It supplies more than one-half of the energy consumed by residential and commercial customers, and about 41 percent of the energy used by U.S. industry.One of the most frequently referenced estimates of conventionally recoverable U.S. natural gas resources is that of the Potential Gas Committee (PGC) of the Colorado School of Mines. Based on its 1997 report, total U.S. recoverable natural gas resources are 1,234 trillion cubic feet (Tcf), including the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) estimate of 166 Tcf of proved reserves. This translates into a 65-year supply at current production levels. Many energy experts believe that the United States has several hundred years of natural gas supplies.After a decade of weak demand, beginning in the mid-70s, which was characterized by falling prices and a supply surplus, natural gas demand in the United States has increased about 35 percent since 1986. The American Gas Association projects that natural gas demand will continue to grow well into the next century, and that there will be growing supplies to meet new demand at competitive prices.The supply surplus in the 1980s discouraged drilling activity. Despite the lower drilling levels, large amounts of new natural gas reserves have been found, primarily because of new exploration and drilling technologies. For the past decade, additions to proved reserves annually have averaged more than 90 percent of gas production. As natural gas demand increases and technology continues to improve recovery rates, it is expected that there will continue to be a high level of reserves replacement.The natural gas industry can respond quickly to demand increases by using both lower-48 state sources and by developing near-term supplemental sources. This short-term capability is found in four supply categories. They are:Uncommitted Nonproducing Reserves. There are significant gas reserves now available in the lower-48 states that are not being produced. DOE's Energy Information Administration estimates this nonproducing gas at 33 Tcf. Much of this gas could be brought to the market quickly (in less than a year), with an annual deliverability of about 0.75 Tcf.Canadian Gas. U.S. companies currently have contracts with Canadian producers and marketers to import significant volumes of Canadian gas. In 1996, about 2.9 Tcf was imported.Accelerated Infill Drilling. In the early 1980s, gas deliverability increased as a result of extensive infill drilling in known gas fields (adding new wells to existing fields to enhance extraction of gas). Many U.S. natural gas fields are excellent areas in which accelerated infill drilling would further increase production capability.Liquefied Natural Gas. There are four liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals in the United States that were operational in the early 1980s. Two are operating today -- and all of them could become operational again, if demand warranted. Collectively, these terminals have the capacity to handle up to 850 billion cubic feet (Bcf) per year. In the event that additional gas supplies were needed in the United States, 200 Bcf could be realized from LNG within 12 months from the two terminals currently operational, and up to 500 Bcf/year with longer lead times.Overall, a short-term gas supply response potential of over 1.2 Tcf/year exists, most of which could be available in about a year. These additional sources should ensure that natural gas supplies will grow in response to rising demand.. Coalbed methane has become a significant supply source. It is currently estimated that more than 146 Tcf of methane can be recovered. Department of Energy statistics indicate that 1.0 Tcf of coalbed methane was produced in the United States in 1996.Two other sources of gas energy that hold potential for the future are biomass and urban landfills. Although these sources are renewable, market demand and the economics of production have limited their development. Biomass, which refers primarily to either land or aquatic plant material, can be processed to produce gas energy. However, further research in harvesting and conversion techniques are needed. Urban landfills currently produce about 4 Bcf of high-Btu gas a year.Large deposits of natural gas await discovery in the outer continental shelf (OCS) along the U.S. coastline. Currently, offshore areas provide about 28 percent of the total natural gas produced in the United States. Most of this gas comes from the Gulf of Mexico. In addition to proved reserves of over 30 Tcf, it is estimated that total OCS gas resources, including Alaska, amount to about 272 Tcf.. Future natural gas supply depends in large part on new technologies and on the economics of production. However, given the magnitude of the resource base from which future supplies will be drawn and the diversity of supply sources, there is no doubt that adequate natural gas supplies can be available far into the next century.
1. What Is Natural Gas and History of Use
Natural gas is generally considered a nonrenewable fossil fuel. (There are some renewable sources of natural gas; we'll discuss these later.) Natural gas is called a fossil fuel because most scientists believe that natural gas was formed from the remains of tiny sea animals and plants that died 200-400 million years ago.When these tiny sea animals and plants died, they sank to the bottom of the oceans where they were buried by layers of sand and silt. Over the years, the layers of sand and silt became thousands of feet thick, subjecting the energy-rich plant and animal remains to enormous pressure. Most scientists believe that the pressure, combined with the heat of the earth, changed this organic mixture into petroleum and natural gas. Eventually, concentrations of natural gas became trapped in the rock layers much like a wet household sponge traps water.Raw natural gas is a mixture of different gases. Its main ingredient is methane, a natural compound that is formed whenever plant and animal matter decays. By itself, methane is odorless, colorless, and tasteless. As a safety measure, natural gas companies add a chemical odorant (it smells like rotten eggs) so escaping gas can be detected. Natural gas should not be confused with gasoline, which is made from petroleum.History of Natural GasThe ancient peoples of Greece, Persia, and India discovered natural gas many centuries ago. The people were mystified by the burning springs created when natural gas seeping from cracks in the ground was ignited by lightning. They sometimes built temples around these eternal flames so they could worship the fire.About 2,500 years ago, the Chinese recognized that natural gas could be put to work. The Chinese piped the gas from shallow wells and burned it under large pans to evaporate sea water for salt.Natural gas was first used in America to illuminate the streets of Baltimore in 1816. Soon after, in 1821, William Hart dug the first successful American natural gas well in Fredonia, New York. His well was 27 feet deep, quite shallow compared to today's wells. The Fredonia Gas Light Company opened its doors in 1858 as the nation's first natural gas company. By 1900, natural gas had been discovered in 17 states. In the past 40 years, the use of natural gas has grown dramatically. Today, natural gas accounts for about a quarter of the energy we use.2. Producing Natural GasNatural gas can be hard to find since it can be trapped in porous rocks deep underground. Scientists use many methods to find natural gas deposits. They may look at surface rocks to find clues about underground formations. They may set off small explosions or drop heavy weights on the surface and record the sound waves as they bounce back from the rock layers underground. They also may measure the gravitational pull of rock masses deep within the earth.If test results are promising, the scientists may recommend drilling to find the natural gas deposits. Natural gas wells average 6,000 feet deep and can cost more than $75 per foot to drill, so it's important to choose sites carefully. On average, 27 out of every 100 exploratory wells produce gas. The others come up "dry." (The odds are better f or developmental wells-wells drilled on known gas fields. On average, 80 out of every 100 developmental wells yield gas.) Natural gas can be found in pockets by itself or in petroleum deposits.After natural gas comes out of the ground, it goes to a processing plant where it is cleaned of impurities and separated into its various components. Approximately 90 percent of natural gas is composed of methane, but it also contains small amounts of other gases such as propane and butane.Natural gas may also come from several other sources. One source is the gas found in coalbeds. Until recently, coalbed gas was just, considered a safety hazard to miners, but now it is a valuable source of natural gas.Another source of natural gas is the gas produced in landfills. Landfill gas is considered a renewable source of natural gas since it comes from decaying garbage. The gas from coalbeds and landfills accounts for three percent of the total gas supply today, yet their contribution could double by the year 2010.Today natural gas is produced in 32 states, though just three states--Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma-produce 61 percent of the country's natural gas. Altogether, the United States produces nearly 22 percent of the world's natural gas each year. In 1994 the United States imported 12 percent of its natural gas from other countries-mostly from Mexico and Canada.Transporting and Storing Natural GasHow does natural gas get to you, the consumer? Usually by pipeline. More than one million miles of underground pipelines link natural gas fields to major cities across the United States. Natural gas is sometimes transported thousands of miles by pipeline to its final destination. A machine called a compressor increases the pressure of the gas, forcing the gas to move along the pipelines. Compressor stations, which are spaced about 50 to 100 miles apart, move the gas along the pipelines at about 15 miles per hour.Some gas moved along this subterranean highway is temporarily stored in huge underground reservoirs. The underground reservoirs are typically filled in the summer so there will be enough natural gas during the winter heating season.Eventually, the gas reaches the "city gate" of a local gas utility. Here, the pressure is reduced and an odorant is added so leaking gas can be detected. Local gas companies use smaller pipes to carry gas the last few miles to homes and businesses. A gas meter measures the volume of gas a consumer uses.3. Who Uses Natural Gas and How Much?Just about everyone in the United States uses natural gas. Natural gas ranks number three in energy use, right after petroleum and coal. Twenty-three percent of the energy we use in the United States comes from natural gas.Industry is the biggest consumer of natural gas, using it mainly to manufacture goods. Industry also uses natural gas as an ingredient in fertilizer, photographic film, ink, glue, paint, plastics, laundry detergent, and insect repellents. Synthetic rubber and man-made fibers like nylon also could not be made without the chemicals derived from natural gas.Residences are people's homes. Residences are the second biggest users of natural gas. Six in ten homes use natural gas for heating. Many homes also use gas water heaters, stoves, and clothes dryers.Like residences, commercial use of natural gas is mostly for heating. Commercial use includes stores, offices, schools, churches, and hospitals.Natural gas is also used to make electricity. Just as the heat energy in coal is used to make electricity, so can the heat energy in natural gas. Many people in the energy industry believe natural gas will play a bigger role in electricity production as the demand for electricity increases in the future. Why? Because natural gas power plants are cheaper and cleaner than coal plants. Natural gas plants produce electricity about 20 percent more efficiently than new coal plants, and they produce it with far fewer air-polluting emissions.To a lesser degree, natural gas is making inroads as a transportation fuel. Natural gas can be used in any vehicle with a regular internal combustion engine, although the vehicle must be outfitted with a special carburetor and fuel tank. Natural gas is cleaner burning than gasoline, costs less, and has a, higher octane (power boosting) rating. Today more than 30,000 cars, trucks, and buses run on natural gas in the United States.Natural Gas ReservesPeople in the energy industry use two special terms when they talk about how much natural gas there is- resources and reserves. Natural gas resources include all the deposits of gas that are still in the ground waiting to be tapped.Natural gas reserves are only those gas deposits that scientists know, or strongly believe, can be recovered given today's prices and drilling technology. In other words, when scientists estimate the amount of known gas reserves, they do not include gas deposits that may be discovered in the future or gas deposits that are not economical to produce given today's prices. (You can think of reserves this way. if it cost you $10 to manufacture a box of yoyos that you could sell for $8, would you make the yoyos? Of course not! You would lose $2 on every box.)The United States has large reserves of natural gas. Most reserves are in the Gulf of Mexico and in the following states: Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Wyoming, Kansas, and Alaska. If we continue to use natural gas at the same rate as we use it today, the United States has about a 50-year supply of natural gas, though another 200 years of additional gas supplies could be produced if people are willing to pay more for the gas they use.New Ways to Use and Produce Natural GasBecause natural gas is cleaner than coal or petroleum, scientists are researching new ways to use and produce it.Fuel CellsMany scientists are interested in using natural gas to generate electricity. Engineers have already developed ways to use coal/petroleum and natural gas together to generate electricity, but a device called a fuel cell can use natural gas alone. A fuel cell is similar to a battery. It uses a chemical process rather than combustion (burning) to convert the energy of a fuel into electricity. The chemical process is much more energy-efficient than combustion and it emits no air pollutants. Unfortunately, the technology to generate electricity from fuel cells must be improved if it is to be commercially successful.BiomassScientists are also researching new ways to obtain natural (methane) gas from biomass--a fuel source derived from plant and animal wastes. Methane gas is naturally produced whenever organic matter decays. Today we can drill shallow wells into landfills to recover the methane gas. Landfills are already required to collect methane gas as a safety measure. Typically, landfills collect the gas and bum it to get rid of it. But the gas can be put to work. Last year over four billion cubic feet of landfill methane gas was used for heating and electricity production.There are other ways to convert biomass into natural gas. One method converts aquatic plants, such as sea kelp, into methane gas. In the future, huge kelp farms could also produce renewable gas energy.Liquid Natural GasAnother successful development has been the conversion of natural gas into a liquid state. In its liquid state, natural gas is called LNG, or liquid natural gas.LNG is made by cooling natural gas to a temperature of minus 260 degrees F. At that temperature, natural gas becomes a liquid and its volume is reduced 615 times. (A car reduced 615 times would fit on your thumbnail.) Liquid natural gas is easier to store than the gaseous form since it takes up much less space. LNG is also easier to transport. People can put LNG in special tanks and transport it on trucks or ships. Today more than 100 LNG storage facilities are operating in the United States.4. Natural Gas Prices and the EnvironmentSince 1985, natural gas prices have been set by the market. The federal government sets the price of transportation for natural gas that crosses state lines. State public utility commissions will continue to regulate natural gas utility companies-just as they regulate electric utilities.These commissions regulate how much utilities may charge their customers, and they monitor the utilities' policies.So how much does it costs to heat your home with natural gas? Compared to other energy sources, natural gas is a good buy. Heating your home with natural gas is cheaper than any other major heating source. It is more than four times less expensive than electricity when you use resistance heat. It is 25 percent less expensive than electricity when you use a heat pump.Natural Gas and the EnvironmentAll the fossil fuels coal, petroleum, and natural gas-release pollutants into the atmosphere when burned to provide the energy we need. The list of pollutants they release reads like a chemical cornucopia-carbon monoxides, reactive hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, and solid particulates (ash or soot).The good news is that natural gas is the most environmentally friendly fossil fuel. It is cleaner burning than coal or petroleum because it contains less carbon than its fossil fuel cousins. Natural gas also has less sulfur and nitrogen compounds, and it emits less ash particulates into the air when it is burned than coal or petroleum fuels.
One final statement from me.
I read a national Geographic in 1997 that showed at current usage rates we had an estimated 1000 year supply of natural gas and a 1000 year supply of Coal. I haven't done a big ol' search through their archives (lazy I guess) I should have just stole the mag from the Doc's office, but I didn't-whoopy and who cares, but it is there buried in their archives.And finally these two articles were not written by me but they are free to the public links provided.

What a blessed lady she was you could see the glow of the Holy Spirit, well I could anyhow.
Never the less after I finished repairing her A\C and was kneeling next to her writing up her bill she told me that she was related. I listened (as she told me a story or two about her and Rosa's life. The story of her sitting on the bus and all. I asked because I really didn't know all that much about it. I know one thing, this white boy is glad Mrs. Parks did that. She not only helped her race she helped all of us live for a little while longer under a more free nation.
She is a shining example and reminder to us all that freedom isn't free but the rewards are worth the sacrifice and effort.

Could we just do one more little role play you know it could go something like this:
"Hey hey Martha what do you say we take a little visit down to the Yucatan Peninsula and see if we can catch a little wind maybe. Whacha think, we might get lucky and get stuck in a third world country with no water or electricity? We could only hope huh? What a story we would have if we survive."
You know I am all for taking a few risks, but temping God? Nu-uh. Not this guy. I understand that the prices are lower during the hot season down there but ah, I thought going there was supposed to be relaxing and I sure could think of other less life endangering ways to get a thrill or two. Maybe parasailing or something. I hear that is a riot. But you know. If you gotta go there it's your life. Never know you could have quite a tale to tell. Never know.
I have another complaint about customers
God in heaven twice this week customers got so helpful that they got in the way. For the sake of Jesus get about 10 feet away from me and stay there. @#$% what if I should get bit by the ol buzz juice, which happens from time to time, aren't you risking your selves as well? GEES!

And for God's sake don't point at a part in the electrical box when it's hot! DUMB DUMB DUMB. That's 240+ volts your about to touch.
I can just see it now. BZZZZAP, gee sir I thought the worm went out of style about 20 years ago. SIR? You just bit your toung-ewww look at the blood. Or: huh where did the tip of your finger go sir? Are you barbecuing for dinner cause I smell meat burning?

Get the picture. Part of my job training included how to handle hazardous materials and just plain old hazards which include some of the worst that there are. Electricity and phosgene gas both of which can kill in moments come to mind. Oh you say you don't know what phosgene gas is? I'm sorry. Think 'Mustard Gas'. You know the stuff they used in WWI to kill with. Yup that's right I got to worry about that too. I ain't got time to deal with the really helpful customers, I GOT OTHER THINGS TO WORRY ABOUT, you know what I mean?

Intelligent Design
Hey HAC. I believe in ID as well. And Chinga tu is right. ID is not verifiable or is it. E=mc2. A black hole, http://STARSPLASH/2005/08/dark-matter.html in this little article I ask one question which I have never in 20-30 years of reading everything I can get my hands on heard posed. Where is all this extra energy going? It cannot be in this Universe. I hate it when other people use the terminology "another dimension", but you answer that one and you may see mankind on the path to exploring this Galaxy and maybe the Universe.
How does this relate to Intelligent design? Einstein was interested in light. And in this one simple equation men have been brought to the point where we literally have our destiny in our own hands, but we can't seem to get beyond this little fence. Shall we be able to continue on or destroy ourselves? My point here is there is a structure and order so complex that we are yet to describe. In fact we are as far away from definition today as Newton was away from understanding that it wasn't velocity he was looking for but the absolute speed of light in his equasion, yet it was the step up in knowledge that Einstein needed for his layer of discoveries just as Einstein's were for the scientists of today's. The fact must be that there is another 'argh'place, "dimension", parallel,not coexistent but close enough and big enough to absorb all the infinite mass thrown at it from the black holes in this universe. What we call it or what you call it may or may not be important. As for me it is the place where an intelligent designer is and I for lack of a name will call him God. He is that he is. As far as I am concerned forever eternal and infinite as we are finite.
Why should we consider this in a debate over ID? We have learned to break matter down into energy but we haven,t learned to take energy and make matter yet. Energy is free from the constraints of this universe. Quantifiable but not described. Identified but not by feel or lack of it, not caught, captured, recorded, packaged and reproduced at a whim. Held in your hands but not. It is....We know it is...Can measure it or it's results but only know that it is there and we can practicaly utilize it in our quaint rudimentary way. Same thing with gravity.
Hac is right and I will surmise it my way. Evolution is a guess and not a practicality. Amusing at most for the time being but worth blood shed? I think not. It has boiled down to proud pompous men debating a scientific theory using only philosophy. Very amusing.
Intelligent design includes the very forces that rule our universe. Evolution does not. Evolution assumes they existed prior to the creation of this universe but E=mc2 says different.
BTW if your wondering, I think that "Dark matter" is not right. I think they should be looking for an as yet unknown force rather than mass.
